Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role has a key focus on commissioning, delivering, and overseeing the handover of rebuilt CAT equipment.
As a Field Follow, you will assist the Workshop team in the assembly and delivery of CAT machinery whilst acting as the onsite contact for our customer.
You will work alongside our skilled Plant Mechanics to diagnose faults, perform routine maintenance tasks, and conduct meticulous inspections to ensure that all machines are in optimal working condition before returning to site.
With extensive mechanical aptitude and a safety-first approach to everything you do, this role is best suited to those that love to problem solve and spend their days diagnosing faults.
Roster and Remuneration Monday to FridayDay shift onlyAnnual earnings up to $180,000*Please note that the rates provided are a guide and are subject to change based on the assessment of each candidate's skills and experience.
Responsibilities Serve as the primary onsite point of contact, addressing customer requirements and providing excellent customer service.Coordinate onsite assembly and customization of CAT machinery based on customer specifications.Perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on CAT machinery to ensure optimal working condition before handover.Provide travel support, visiting various locations in NSW to offer field service assistance and address customer needs.Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as Mining Support Representatives and Project Coordinators, to manage customer requests and machine requirements, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery process.Skills & Experience Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or mechanical trade qualificationFamiliar with Caterpillar EquipmentExposure to SIS and/or ET highly regardedExcellent diagnostic and repair skillsAbility to coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure deliveries are made on time and to customer standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work autonomously in the field and in a teamUnrestricted Drivers LicenseWhy Join WesTrac?
