THE ROLE Field Services Officers provide technical building advice and expertise in relation to the maintenance and upgrade of social housing properties. The role involves undertaking property inspections to assess and arrange repair and remedial works orders, arranging specifications and cost estimates for works such as fencing and disability modifications, contributing to emergency management preparation work and providing local knowledge and expert advice to support best use of properties and local housing staff.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Accurately determine and assess the maintenance requirements for department-owned property assets, Secretary owned and public and community housing and ensure maintenance works requirements are delivered according to the department's frameworks, policies, and processes.Support the management of vacant property inspections in accordance with vacant unit maintenance procedures and inspect community housing properties where required by the Housing Call Centre in consultation with community agencies.Undertake initial assessments and provide expert advice and recommendations for disability modification requests and major building rectification or asset protection activities as required.Please open the position description to read more.
