We are on the hunt for a Field Service Fitter to join our team in Mackay, supporting our customer's fleets of Caterpillar open-cut mining equipment.
Ideally you will possess considerable experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Large and Ultra Class CAT Mining equipment.
This is a Permanent, Full-time role working an even time roster.
Responsibilities: Provide maximum satisfaction to our customers by ensuring all maintenance and repairs are carried out to the highest possible standard.Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications.Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship assuring quality in the finished product.Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur.Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times.Ensure that the customer is part of the decision process on large dollar value item repair or replacement and is kept informed of all matters in relations to the job, including job progress.Support the sale of genuine parts, and when requested, give guidance and advice to the customer on supply of genuine parts.Why Hastings Deering? Relevant Trade qualifications and demonstrated service and repair experience on CAT.Site based mining roles will require current coal board medical and a Std 11 Qualification or the ability to acquire via HDAL.3-5 years' post trade experience on mining equipment.Well-developed communication and customer service skills.The ability to work autonomously and as a team as required.Demonstrated and proven ability with desktop computers and devices.Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS).Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety.Your ability to work under pressure during peak periods is essential.To Apply: Hit the 'Apply Now' button.
