ResponsibilitiesAs a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Servicing the Bruker AXS installed base (SC-XRD, XRD, XRF)Performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, system-level troubleshooting, and remote hotline support of complex equipment to ensure proper working order.Customer training on the operation of the system.The essential functions of the position include:
Installing, modifying, and troubleshooting equipment and systems following SOP policies, procedures, and work direction of supervisor or site lead.Supporting customer needs by interfacing with factory personnel, e.g., technical support and development engineering on problems necessitating equipment design changes or on potential new product applications.Training customer personnel in equipment operation and applications.Customer account management.Providing necessary information and reports to Service Management, Customers, and Corporate personnel.Conforming at all times to Bruker and customer's safety, cleanliness, and working protocol policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment.Completing standard operating procedures, project plans, and other documentation as required in a timely manner.The travel requirement of this position is:
~85% travel to customer sites, some on short notice, domestic. Possibility for International trips occasionally.QualificationsTo be successful in this position, you should possess the following:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience in field service, especially capable of working with industrial-related customers.Ability to develop excellent customer relationships.Must be able to travel to multiple site locations, if deemed necessary to align with customer work schedules. 85% travel required with the ability to travel domestically on short notice and internationally with advanced notice.Requires a general understanding of basic computer language and commands.Driver's License is required.Educational/Experience:Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.At least 3 years of field experience in a similar technical environment.Experience in servicing analytical equipment, especially X-ray related instruments preferred.Willingness to travel to customer sites, local or remote.
