Overview Rapiscan Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of OSI Systems, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide.
Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs, and other contraband.

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) has the overall technical responsibility for ensuring that their sites meet all contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA).
The FSE executes routine work as required which includes installation, repair, and maintenance support of the full range of Rapiscan's Checkpoint & Trace products in Australia and New Zealand.
Additionally, the FSE has responsibility for the quality of all project and service work to meet the specific client requirements within the scope of the statement of work.

Responsibilities Installation of the full range of the Company's Checkpoint & Trace products at customer sitesRoutine preventative and breakdown maintenance of the Company's equipment at customer sitesProvide out of hours standby cover as part of established teamsCarry out basic Operator and Technical training when required at customer sitesCarry out site surveys and advise customer on technical matters prior to installationsComplete all reporting requirements, both internal and customer-based reports, in a timely mannerComply with all QA and HSE requirements, as stipulated by Rapiscan Systems and relevant legislationTravel as requiredAny other departmental ad-hoc duties when required Qualifications Min 2+ Years of experience in a similar roleElectrical/electronics background is preferredHigh level of organisational skillsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage responsibility in an independent mannerExceptional attention to detail & capability to develop detailed processesAbility to multi-taskSuccessful record of on-time project deliveryAble to quickly grasp new technologies at a high levelAbility to manage conflict and liaise with demanding clientsStrong Client relationship skillsStrong ability to represent a professional image onsitePC literate and Microsoft knowledge requiredAvailability for some after-hours workElectronics and computer knowledge.Qualifications in subjects relevant to the role essential.
