£31,000 - £36,000 Starting Salary DOE

The Service Engineer role is available in a highly successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks. You'll enjoy a local field-based role offering comprehensive on-the-job training, an extensive benefits package, and progression routes.
The Service Engineer role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment. This is also a great career opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry, as the company will fully train. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally having engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.
Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and breakdown coverage on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis.
Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area.
Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment.
Manage spares placed in the van overnight.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable.
Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills.
Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
