Field Research Officer - Nsw - Wagga Wagga

Details of the offer

About 2 months ago, from Roy Morgan Research.
Among our many important and long-running research projects, Roy Morgan is very proud to announce we have secured a prestigious face-to-face national study: the Domestic Tourism Statistics study funded by the Federal Government department of Austrade. This is a significant project for Roy Morgan, and this is your chance to be part of the action as we embark on this groundbreaking project.
The Domestic Tourism Statistics (DoTS) survey measures domestic travel across Australia and will be combined with other data to reflect the domestic tourism industry. We'll capture survey data by asking respondents a series of questions about their recent day, overnight, and overseas trips and ask where they went, what they did, and what they saw when they were away. This data feeds into the Australian National Accounts and contributes to the estimates of the national economy and will help drive the future of Australia's tourism industry.
As a Field Research Officer, you will undertake professional and accurate data collection (including observations and interviewing) of the public with neutrality in asking questions and gathering respondent responses. There is some administration involved to ensure all records are accurate and up to date. For this project, you will be in the field meeting people and travelers gathering survey data and opinions on a range of topics relating to domestic tourism across Australia. You need to be comfortable engaging with people - both in helping them understand the importance and benefits of participating in the survey and asking survey questions in line with the project you are assigned to. You will engage with people from all walks of life and enjoy the flexibility of working independently and managing your own workload.
