Job Details: Job Summary: This position assists in the planning, coordination, setup / recovery and conduct of live simulation and training activities. This role will be responsible for operator level technical maintenance, as well as some intermediate level maintenance tasks. This position typically works under minimal supervision and direction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in planning, coordination, setup and conduct of live training in accordance with clients' schedules of activities. Liaise with external agencies as required Comply with all risk management plans and safety procedures for all live training activities and exercises. Ensure all firing or initiation of non-pyrotechnic or other effects is approved by the PM-TS prior to firing May assist with preparation of activity correspondence, instructions, presentations and papers to support all live training activities Assists and participates in virtual, constructive and command post exercises in accordance with contractual responsibilities Assists and participates in the support to military exercises in accordance with contractual responsibilities. Be prepared to eat and live in the field for the duration of these activities / exercises Assist in the day to day management and security of all Company equipment. Support the maintenance schedule of specialist equipment as required. Conduct maintenance and inspection on familiar and qualified equipment only Assist in the ongoing mandatory regulatory and Company compliance of all equipment. Assist the Company with ISO 9000 compliance strategies Perform personnel and technical administration tasks as required Prepare and pack equipment for deployment / re-deployment to / from training areas and repair General Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with Cubic's Quality Management System Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures Other duties as requested Minimum Job Requirements: Qualifications Forklift Licence holder Cert IV in HSE is desirable Medium rigid driver's licence is desirable Experience Minimum 6 years' experience in defence forces up to Senior NCO Officer Pyrotechnic training experience Experience in training delivery is desirable Personal Qualities Ability to work individually or within a small team Ability to travel and work outdoors in remote field environments Excellent interpersonal skills High levels of customer support and service delivery Ability to work in hectic and noisy environments Must be able to stand or sit for long periods Condition of Employment: Successful outcome of a National Police Check
