LET'S EXPLORE THE ROLE You will lead, motivate, train, recruit, and develop a team of local and remote, technical and non-technical field operations employees, contractors and First-In Maintainers (FIMs) to safely deliver high levels of reliability and improved and efficient services.

Office location is Bald Hills but we are open to locations within Queensland.
Key Responsibilities: Safely maintain the Area's transmission systems, infrastructure and customer interests and SLA's. Build the organisational skills and capabilities to manage people, faults and operations remotely & locally. Build technical capability to respond to growth opportunities. Develop & execute all planned maintenance activities in alignment with network and infrastructure requirements. Ensure the Area is adequately resourced, including a network of appropriately skilled and trained FIMs and contractors. Ensure all teams & individuals (including FIM's) are trained and skilled to deliver the operational requirements. Ensure all project work is scheduled as efficiently as possible.
Support the central team to manage and recover costs. Support the Service Management Centre (Broadcast SMC) and Public Safety Network (PSN) Network Operations Centre (NOC) to ensure all service faults are restored promptly and response targets and contractual obligations are met.
Deliver excellent network coverage. Resolve issues and proactively address operations challenges. Ensure the team is trained to receive and review each scope of work and to partner effectively to deliver the outcome. Partner with BAI leaders and teams to improve operations, including standard processes, policies and procedures. LET'S HEAR ABOUT YOU Strong people management skills with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Tertiary qualification from an accredited university in a role-related discipline or equivalent training and experience. Extensive experience and knowledge of the telecommunications/Broadcast industry. Senior level managerial experience with a background in Engineering, Media delivery or Technology. Solid ability to contribute to the Broadcast Australia strategic direction and Service Assurance agenda. Strong relationship skills, creative, driven, and self-motivated, with ability to develop, expand, and lead the teams independently. This is a high-profile role requiring travel (2 weeks per quarter) across Queensland and interstate as required to support the local and national teams.
