About the role
You will provide high quality maintenance support services for our elderly clients, including home maintenance, minor modifications and security work. Responsible for the first face-to-face visit and interview at our client's home, you will assess client's needs and provide recommendations on how we undertake the services required. This role will require frequent travel throughout the Gold Coast region.
In this varied role you will:
Conduct initial interviews with eligible clients; identify client needs and provide information to clients; undertake handyperson work and minor modifications in clients' homes.
Assess and provide information on the security of clients' homes; undertaking security work and provide information and referrals to support our home maintenance/modification programs;
Develop, maintain and coordinate service and repair schedules for machinery and equipment;
Perform stock control duties and ensure the workshop, machinery, equipment and vehicles are kept in a clean and orderly manner;
Complete electronic worksheets and documentation, ensuring client signatures are provided as a record of service;
Confirm payments for services and materials, prioritising jobs according to program policies, procedures and rosters.
About you
You have great communication skills gained from your previous experience engaging with a range of stakeholders. Hence, you are able to communicate with our clients with differing needs. Your responsiveness and your ability to work effectively with others will put you in good stead for this role.
Your experience and qualifications for the role should include:
Knowledge of current practices in relation to installation procedures on minor modifications such as grab rails, hand held showers and access ramps;
Knowledge of current technology in home security;
Applied knowledge of WH&S requirements (or ability to acquire within one month);
Current driver's licence;
Working knowledge of other service types, to enable referral to other relevant services (or ability to acquire);
Recent experience in a building, renovation or maintenance role and/or trade qualification in a home-building related field.
