Details of the offer

As Field Officer, you will specifically:• Provide assistance to clients and stakeholders on a broad range of issues relating to the quality of Queensland's vocational education and training system; departmental training and skills development programs; and workforce development initiatives, including apprenticeships; traineeships; 'school to work' and 'transition to work' programs and services.• Identify opportunities and undertake activities which advocate and promote the benefits of training, skills development; VET pathway options and workforce development to clients and stakeholders including employers, schools, training organisations, community-based organisations; enterprises; and individuals.• Participate in the development and implementation of a range of regional training, skilling and workforce development activities aimed at increasing VET participation and completion rates for Queenslanders; providing opportunities for individuals who are under-utilised and under-employed; and building skills to meet local employment opportunities.• Participate in the monitoring of stakeholder performance through a process of continuous improvement and stakeholder education and capacity building.• Support Queensland's vocational education and training system, through a range of services to clients and stakeholders including but not limited to the provision of advice; issues management; conflict resolution; school and/or workplace visits, promotion of the Queensland Training Awards; project management; presentations as well as the articulation of relevant program guidelines; legislation, policies, and procedures.• Participate proactively as a team member; or autonomously, to achieve the performance benchmarks identified in regional operational plans and quality outcomes for the vocational education and training sector in the region.• Develop and maintain professional collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.• Provide a high-level service in the application of relevant corporate governance procedures of the department including team building; quality service delivery; project management; customer satisfaction; record keeping, occupational health and safety, supervision of staff when required; employment equity and anti-discrimination practices.• Prioritise work and take personal responsibility to ensure that timely and efficient service delivery and project management is provided, deadlines are met; personal and team performance benchmarks are achieved.• Prepare a range of documentation and correspondence in accordance with departmental communication protocols, information standards and records and project management procedures, including responses to requests from the Minister and senior departmental officers.• Strengthen the vocational education and training system in the region through a wide range of stakeholder engagement and capacity building initiatives and project management activities.We're committed to appointing the best-suited person for each role.This includes considering equity, diversity, respect, and inclusion needs within our agency.We believe that these elements are essential for the success of our team, and we strongly encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.If you require any reasonable adjustments to fully participate in the recruitment process, please do not hesitate to contact the designated contact for the vacancy.Ready to make an application?Please read the 'Interested in applying?'section for instructions on how to apply and for information on what you will need to submit as part of your application.Applications may remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/569821/24Closing Date: Friday, 21 June 2024
