The Field Marketing Specialist (FMS) supports the Field Marketing Manager (FMM) in building the local face of Red Bull across Western Sydney in the most relevant way, in line with global and national strategies and priorities.
They collaborate with the FMM and internal stakeholders to establish local field networks, encompassing scene experts and opinion leaders across both online platforms and in person.
The FMS plays a crucial role in creating and implementing marketing initiatives across the four key pillars of the marketing mix: Student Marketing, Sports, Culture, and Red Bull Media Network.
They leverage opportunities in On Premise, Off Premise, and New Business channels, tailoring strategies to meet local needs and specificities.
By doing so, they effectively engage with local consumers, influencing their preferences and behaviors, which in turn drives the successful growth of the business.
It's important to note that the role of an FMS is dynamic and active, as they are consistently engaged 'in the field' rather than confined to an office environment.

Collaborate closely with the FMM to implement the field strategy and develop initiatives aimed at enhancing brand health and deepening local understanding of product functionality and relevance.
Execute marketing programs with precision and local flavour, leveraging best practices that align with local requirements to achieve impactful outcomes.
Drive consumer trial through activities in line with brand values, international guidelines and expectations to win consumers.
Drive relevance across key consumption occasions and moments of need by crafting targeted messaging, amplifying campaign efforts, and strategically activating impactful regional events.
STUDENT MARKETING PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Communicate clear expectations and guidelines for Student Marketeers (SMs) to integrate Red Bull into student life during critical moments (study, sports, etc.
), employing a "from students, for students" approach to establish a credible brand presence within universities and cultivate a loyal consumer base for Red Bull.
Set clear goals and program strategies together with the National Student Marketing Manager (NSMM) and FMM to drive trial that engages new users, offering the right product mix to expand the consumer base and the right business priority split to seize all opportunities in your region.
Work with university-focused SMs to ensure sales support is a core part of the program, with the right balance of focus towards driving distribution, stimulating sales, exciting the trade, and improving in-store visibility, across On and Off Premise, and New Business channels.
Work cross-functionally to execute an effective plan.
Implement a strong sales support program within our university initiatives to enhance distribution, sales, and improve in-store visibility in and around our university campuses.
Work with SMs to create a consistent program of exciting and relevant university initiatives that build brand and consumer love among students, with a focus on emerging generations.
Coach and empower SMs in the planning process for fresh mission ideas aimed at expanding our user base.
MARKETING INNOVATION
Be a key player in developing, owning and executing locally relevant new ideas that complement the activation of global and national initiatives.
Utilise local insights to create digital and social media initiatives as a key part of field activities.
Engage and collaborate with the SM team in brainstorming sessions to lead the creative process, leveraging their university lifestyles to identify early trends in technology, digital platforms, and social media, and ensuring a continuous stream of innovative ideas that foster student loyalty.
Understand the consumer landscape within Music, Dance, Sport & Active Lifestyle scenes to reach consumers through effective direct and indirect sampling.
Identify and support the right third-party events and Red Bull-owned programs throughout the year, focusing on Western Sydney locations and consumers.
Contribute to the creation of a premium and aspirational local face of the brand in relevant and key scenes with a strong digital / social media footprint.
Support the FMM in creating a local Sports marketing strategy for Western Sydney.
This includes building and activating relationships with key opinion leaders and important local networks (focusing on NRL, Football, & Basketball) for the region.
Support the FMM in creating a local Culture strategy for Western Sydney, delivering a balanced program involving third-party event properties & Red Bull owned events.
Organisational Capabilities & Enabling Structure
Act as a role model and display Red Bull values with a consistently motivating and inspiring tone.
Optimise the local field program, being flexible with resources to ensure we are always 'fishing where the fish are'.
Drive efficiencies using program tools to ensure we are set up for success with the right mix of outsourcing to keep balance in your time and maintain premium execution.
Support local logistics company to maintain branded tools and their management for achieving premium appearance and effective tool management, including Minis, POSM, and other program tools.
Implement and uphold recruitment, onboarding, and training modules to ensure consistency across the team.
Identify and recruit SMs who are 'brand fit', possessing the right skills and attitudes toward all business priorities.
Train and empower SMs to take ownership of their targets, as well as personal and professional development, creating opportunities for top performers.
Identify and nurture high performers for future growth and leadership, and pipeline opportunities.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: Experience managing people and teams.3+ years leading events & marketing activities.Familiarity of the university landscape in Australia.Strong networking skills.Proven experience in planning, managing and executing small to medium sized events.Ideally experience in sales, working with commercial teams.
