About the role We are seeking experienced Field Fitters to join our Peak Down team. As our next Field Fitter reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
As a Field Fitter, you will be required to:
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on excavators to ensure optimal functionality and safety.Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform troubleshooting, and execute necessary repairs.Perform scheduled servicing and inspections according to manufacturer specifications.Replace parts, components, and systems as needed to maintain equipment performance and reliability.Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and minimal equipment downtime.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.About you Mechanical/Diesel Fitting trade qualification.Proven experience as an Excavator Fitter or similar role in the construction or mining industry.Liebherr and Hitachi Excavators experience desirable.Enthusiastic attitude & high performing work ethic.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong commitment to workplace safety and culture.Current Driver's Licence.Why work for Thiess Peak Downs?
