Your opportunity at FIELD
Working with FIELD, based in Brisbane, Gladstone or Mackay, you'll use your piping and mechanical engineering expertise to solve complex challenges for clients across the mining, minerals processing, chemical and power generation industries. Specialising in small to medium-sized projects, we're not afraid to tackle the jobs others consider high-risk or difficult.
In this newly created role, you'll guide diverse projects from start to finish with a supportive, close-knit team that values collaboration. You'll also have the chance to build strong client relationships and promote FIELD's expertise in piping engineering.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will:
Be degree qualified – B Eng (Mechanical) or similar is the minimum requirement. Have attained your RPEQ/CPEng. Bring expertise in pipe and pressure vessel stress analysis, heat transfer and piping systems design; and knowledge of relevant design standards. Lead jobs and be regarded as the solution-finder to any problem. Be proficient in Plant 3D, or a similar design package. Like nothing better than to sink your teeth into a challenging problem. Enjoy working autonomously to get stuff done. Be solutions focused and enjoy finding a workable outcome to sometimes daunting problems. We'd also love you to:
Be a confident communicator capable of building strong client and stakeholder relationships. Be keen to share your skills, coach our up-and-coming engineers and lead small work groups. Bring practical expertise and wisdom gained through your previous roles in heavy industry or mining. In your application, be sure to let us know which Piping Design software you prefer to use, and which relevant Standards you are familiar with.
