Field Service FittersWeir MineralsTownsville or MackayOnsitePurpose of Role:We are seeking an experienced Field Service Fitters to carry out scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, and shutdown work on pumps and centrifuges on various customer sites and in the Townsville workshop as required.Further details about the role:Tuesday to Thursday roster 12.6hr daysOvertime shifts with notice for shutdowns and other scheduled workWork vehicle with full tooling providedAccommodation provided when onsite and in TownsvilleServicing sites from West Mackay to Far North QLDKey Responsibilities:Complete repairs on critical equipment, including strip and assembly, drawing amendments and machine maintenance.Carry out the maintenance and repair of products in accordance with the procedures detailed in the service centre quality manual, or the relevant maintenance manual.Make recommendations for improvements to current products, services, and procedures.Ensure performance and quality of work is completed in a safe manner.Safety First:Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or similar tradeExperience working on pumps and centrifugesWell-developed written and verbal communication skillsHigh Risk Forklift ticket - preferredOverhead crane & doggers ticket - highly desirableCurrent drivers license requiredCurrent QLD Coal Board medical - highly desirableWhy choose Weir:Be part of a global organization dedicated to building a better future: At Weir, the growing world depends on us.
