Job Description We are looking for an inspirational and energetic Field Education Coordinator who believes that social work leads to a more equitable world.
Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of social work professionals? Join us as a Field Education Coordinator in the Discipline of Social Work and play a pivotal role in enhancing the field education experience for our students.
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with the National Field Education Academic Lead, the National Placement Unit, and a network of social work students, agency-based staff, and external student supervisors to ensure high-quality field education placements.

Field Education Development and Delivery: Support pre-placement planning, student allocations, and compliance with ASWEAS standards.Lead fortnightly Field Education Seminars and pre-placement briefings.Assist with training and development for Field Educators and Liaison Officers.Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve placement challenges and provide external supervision as needed.Academic Liaison Support: Oversee placement progress for 20 – 30 students per trimester.Maintain communication with students and agencies, and provide ongoing support.Review and provide feedback on student academic work and address concerns in consultation with the National Academic Lead.Program Support: Assist in evaluating and improving the Field Education program.Develop and maintain industry partnerships focused on social justice.Engage in ongoing professional development.Why you will love our people-focused, purpose-driven culture: Our focus on innovation and progression attracts change-makers.You will work with others dedicated to transforming lives through meaningful education.We attract staff and students from 40 different countries, so the work we do has far-reaching benefits.Our staff and students join forces in a shared vision to achieve REAL world CHANGE.We eliminate roadblocks to fast track our achievements and reach our goals without barriers.Diversity and equity of our workforce is our passion and priority; we embrace difference and ensure accessibility.With campuses across Australia, there are opportunities for career growth no matter your location.
Qualifications Minimum of five years full-time post-qualifying practice experience or its part-time equivalent.Eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).Excellent time management and organisational skills.Knowledge of current Australian Social Work Education and Accreditation Standards (ASWEAS).Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education.Understanding of Workplace Occupational Health and Safety policies and processes.Additional Information ACAP focuses on shared values and strengths across our teams, you will work together with others committed to transforming lives through education in a purpose-driven, engaging, and supportive team environment.
