About The Role Band 1 - Salary $79,461 per annum (plus Super) and including a 9-day fortnight Working within our Field Operations team, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Field Construction Officer to join our Rocherlea team.
This role is responsible for providing a service to internal and external customers in the distribution electricity business, using the pole hole borer erector to both stand and erect new poles and remove redundant poles. You will be exposed to installing, holding or removing transformers and HV switches.
As a Field Construction Officer, you are required to attend to planned works as well as service faults in a timely manner, managing customer expectations and always ensuring safety compliance for both the customer and all TasNetworks employees. Works are to be completed to an acceptable standard, ensuring quality and compliance is consistently maintained.

About You To be successful as a Field Construction Officer, you will hold a Construction White Card, together with the following licences (essential):
High Risk Work Licence – Basic Rigging, DoggingHeavy Rigid Drivers Licence/Medium Rigid Drivers Licence, coupled with proven experience in operating such machinery (Heavy combination is advantageous)Machinery experience such as earth moving machineryC2 crane ticket (desirable)You will possess commitment to safety when completing tasks, with a demonstrated knowledge of using the most effective and efficient process to get things done. You will strive to consistently achieve results, even when faced with challenging circumstances, and have the ability to communicate and work well within a team environment. This role services the Northern region of Tasmania, and regular travel to regional areas is required including some living away from home.
