Hiring Manager: Josh Quinn Recruiter: Aislinn Roche ABOUT THE ROLE The position of Field Clinical Specialist Manager – Electrophysiology (FCSM) is to lead the day-to-day activities of the Clinical Specialist team in the South, to drive clinical excellence through developing the Clinical Specialist team and responsible for leading, coaching and developing the Clinical Specialist team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Additionally, the FCSM ensures team members stay up to date with industry, competitor and product knowledge. The FCSM will frequently work in close collaboration with Territory Managers and other commercial leaders to ensure effective and efficient clinical case coverage across the region based upon the clinical customer needs. This includes collaboration across both the EP team (cases) and CRM team as hybrid (EP & CRM) Clinical Specialists may report to and/or work to support EP cases under the general leadership of the FCSM. The FCSM works closely with the Clinical Educator – Electrophysiology to achieve alignment between online, formal, hands on and didactic training courses (facilitated by the Clinical Educator), and in-field clinical coaching to achieve clinical excellence with FARAPULSE, RHYTHMIA, Access Solutions products, and where appropriate POLARx, LABSYSTSEM PRO and any new electrophysiology technologies launched by Boston Scientific. WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? People Development: Responsible for supporting a high performing team and facilitating a positive winning spirit and collaborative culture. Identifying and attracting Clinical Specialists and supporting their onboarding into the team and organisation. Proactively coaching team members in the field and providing constructive feedback, identifying training needs to support and achieve individual and business goals as well as development objectives. Building and Maintaining Relationships: Builds and maintains strong relationships and understanding of customers. Maintains contact with major accounts and key relationships. Supports key customers with education forums. Attends and participates in customer, company and industry sponsored events and meetings. Develops and maintain relationships with functional areas. Clinical Excellence: Maintains an understanding of the product portfolio and can differentiate each product line against competitor products. Develops and maintains a depth of clinical knowledge through published literature, conference addresses and local clinical expertise. Shares clinical and technical experiences in a way that motivates others and teaches applicable skills. Coaches others in the field. Coaches team members to provide case support to support the sales plan & strategy. Actively supports divisional initiatives to achieve business strategies and goals through the Clinical Specialist team. Business Processes: Provides input into Salesforce over Account potential and Customer behaviour based on defined market segmentation. Applies business practices and methods in own job function. Ensures Clinical Specialist team integration with related areas to deliver programs, services and results. Works as part of a larger group on Therapy Development by identifying the referring network to increase patient flow in relation to Strategic Business Partnerships & KOLs. Supports Territory Managers with KOL management. Collaboration: Works collaboratively with Business Development and Sales team to ensure clinical services and programs are delivered to clinical stakeholders. Arranges, plans and executes agreed training and proctoring activities. Works as part of a cross-functional team between Sales, Marketing and Clinical teams to achieve required business outcomes. Creates an environment for the team to share knowledge and ideas. Customer Development: Engages customer on product clinical advantage and benefits to patient and offers exceptional clinical and procedural value to drive customer confidence particularly with new product launches. Provides feedback and contributes to business objectives, contracts and tenders where appropriate. Other: To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity. Works on projects etc as needed to support the BSC business. Attending meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous leadership success / experience is highly regarded, however less experience will be considered for an exceptional candidate. Previous experience in Electrophysiology and Cardiac Rhythm Management is highly desired. Demonstrated commercial track record of success. Proven experience in mentoring and coaching others. Experience in developing a collaborative team environment that displays core values. Ability to plan and prioritise a flexible work schedule. Tertiary qualification in life sciences or business management (desirable). Ability to undertake regular domestic travel (required). Aptitude for acquiring technical knowledge. Requisition ID: 591116
