About the role: The Intake Worker works collaboratively with the Family Therapy Supervisor to ensure the intake and exit functions for MacKillop's FFT-CW Shoalhaven service operate effectively. The Intake Worker is responsible for engaging with families who are referred to MacKillop's Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW) Shoalhaven team, assisting families to understand the FFT CW service, and completing the intake and exit process for each family including the collection of pre and post FFT-CW service evaluation data. This is a Permanent Full Time opportunity based in Wollongong, NSW within our FFT-CW Shoalhaven program. The position reports to the FFT-CW Family Therapy Supervisor. Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated skills and experience in an intake or relevant service delivery role. A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Aboriginal Health Worker, Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology). Highly developed interpersonal and engagement skills. Ability to relate to children, young people and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families. Demonstrated skills and experience in data entry, spreadsheets and information systems. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of safe home visiting, risk identification and mitigation, and safety planning. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including DCJ, NGOs, ACCOs and the community.
