Job description A comprehensive contracting company with expertise across multiple sectors, including Civil, Infrastructure, Electrical, Landscape, Water, and Environment.
Our diverse clientele encompasses renowned construction firms, transportation authorities, government entities, and utility providers.
Their projects typically encompass a wide range of services, such as earthworks, civil engineering, structural development, road construction, pavement installation, drainage facilities and landscaping.
Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the team to complete designated construction activities.
Lead and motivate a team of workers, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Monitor and inspect work progress, providing guidance and support to team members to maintain high-quality workmanship.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
Assist in training new team members, providing guidance on safe work practices and construction techniques.
Maintain accurate records of materials used, labour hours, and work progress for reporting and documentation purposes.
Enforce compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Identify and resolve any issues or challenges encountered during construction activities.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Competencies: Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
Technical expertise: Proficiency in asphalt construction processes, with a solid understanding of industry standards and quality control.
Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, project stakeholders, and management.
Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues encountered during construction activities.
Attention to detail: Ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Requirements: Minimum 2+ years' experience as a Leading Hand/ Team Leader Experience working on Bulkearthworks, Drainage or Infrastructure projects Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if needed.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
