The Role: We are seeking Despatch Plant Operators to work as part of the Fertiliser Despatch Team through our peak season.
You will play a key role in managing our plants to despatch quality product, on time, to our farming customers.
You will be a key player in a business that continuously strives to better meet customer needs.
You will be dedicated to the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment within specified guidelines.
Structured training and support will be provided.
Your key responsibilities will include: Carrying out all despatch/storage duties as required according to environmental policies and procedures and whilst prioritising safety for self and others in all practices.Assisting in ensuring quality products are available when required.Keeping plant, equipment, and incident history up to date via the appropriate computer-based management systems.Managing plant breakdowns and implementing alternatives to avoid customer delays.Communicating on a regular basis with Group Leaders and Supervisors to ensure products and resources are available to meet customer demands.Consistently promoting and maintaining high levels of customer service.Do you have a mix of the following skills & experience? Able to carry out duties in accordance with documented procedures and an understanding of permitting systems.Satisfactory completion of Year 10 or equivalent; computer literate and open to utilising and learning new technology.Can-do attitude, self-motivated and able to work without supervision and contribute to a strong team culture.Commitment to your own safety and the safety of others and knowledge of safe work methods and practices.Clear communication skills, both written and oral.Licensed and experienced in operating machinery such as a Front-End Loaders and/or Forklift is beneficial.Prior experience operating mobile and fixed plant will be highly regarded.Additional Information Our team are rostered based on the demands of our peak season, with shifts typically rostered between January and July 2025.
This role requires you to provide some flexibility with working hours including early morning starts (before 6am) and late finish (after 9pm) and the ability to work additional hours including weekends.
