At Ferring Pharmaceuticals, we help people around the world build families and live better lives. We are entrepreneurial and innovative, with a global team focused on scientific advances in the areas of reproductive and women's health, gastroenterology and urology. Ferring + You is all about working together and sharing ideas, so that we can bring science to life for patients around the world.
Our Commercial, Medical and R&D teams collaborate as trusted partners with patient groups, clinicians, policy makers and the scientific community to identify and develop new opportunities to help patients. Customer centric, we offer an empowering, entrepreneurial culture – and a place to thrive and grow.
Your day at Ferring
You will play a pivotal role in the success of the Medical Affairs team and other functions as required. Through this role you will advance Ferring's ambition to be a scientific leader. The MSL will develop strong relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), creating an ongoing dialogue based on peer-to-peer scientific exchange and being a valued partner in improving patient outcomes. The MSL will be responsible for driving Medical Affairs initiatives in field and in the collection, documentation and sharing of insights that are relevant to Ferring's therapeutic areas of interest.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with KEEs, healthcare professionals (HCPs), researchers, and other stakeholders in the relevant therapeutic areas. With a strong NSW focus, this role will also require engagement of interstate KEEs so the ability to travel as needed is paramount.
Acting as a bridge between Ferring and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in advancing scientific knowledge, supporting clinical trials, and ensuring that healthcare professionals have the latest evidence to inform their practice.
You will frequently engage with your KEE list to communicate complex scientific data (clinical trial results, publications, etc.) in an understandable and engaging manner. Additionally, the MSL will support the broader Medical Affairs team through involvement in a range of initiatives such as symposia at scientific meetings, developing and delivering medical education activities and facilitating and supporting investigator-initiated studies (IIS).
In addition, the MSL is vital to supporting Ferring's current and future endeavours through the gathering and reporting of insights from the field that inform product development, clinical trials, and marketing strategies.
You will stay current with the latest medical and scientific research and trends in therapeutic areas of focus, through attendance at relevant scientific meetings both domestic and international, as required, as well as self-directed learning and Ferring provided educational opportunities.
The MSL will provide scientific support for new product launches and regulatory submissions.
