Position Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The Support Worker will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with various needs, including physical disabilities, mental health conditions, intellectual disabilities, or elderly individuals requiring assistance. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and committed to promoting the independence and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to clients by their individual care plans. Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support clients in household tasks including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry. Accompany clients to appointments, outings, and social activities, promoting community engagement and integration. Monitor and record clients' progress, behaviours, and any changes in their health or well-being. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or challenging situations, following established protocols and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations. Requirements: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or National Police Check (or ability to obtain). Salary:$60,000 to $70,000
