Employee is accountable for: Preparation of job by verifying paper specs and quantities required to efficiently produce the job.Making sure that all ink, paper, and plates are available before beginning the press setup on any job as outlined in the Pressroom Operational Guidelines.Keeping up with press production speeds and consistently making sure that there is always a properly aired load ready to be placed into the feeder at all times.Maintaining adequate minimal run speeds of 13,000 IPH unless the job being produced prohibits the ability to do so.Ensuring every effort is made to meet all production requirements daily on your press.General overall appearance of your work area. Area is to be kept neat at all times.Ensuring that all aspects of shift change are completed in conjunction with the 2nd press operator, and the incoming shift is supplied adequately daily as outlined in the Shift Change Guidelines. Employee is responsible for: Maintaining appropriate paperwork or records as assigned by the 1st or 2nd press operator.Monitoring paper constantly as it runs and maintaining proper side to side and up and down registration.Ensuring that the press does not run out of paper and assisting with make-readies.Working attentively with 1st and 2nd press operators to correct problems as they arise as quickly as possible to minimize the downtime accrued.Adhering to and promoting all Safety Guidelines as outlined by the companies' safety coordinator to ensure consistent OSHA compliance regarding hazardous waste, chemical handling, lockout–tagout rules and wear hair and beard nets at all times.Maintaining professional appearance by keeping clothing laundered, pants pulled up and shirts tucked in.Upkeep of personal hygiene including but not limited to, body odor, facial hair, oral hygiene, etc.Working on other shifts and other departments to cover for fellow employees as they have vacations, emergencies, bereavement, etc.Working in conjunction with both the 1st and 2nd press operators in the preventative maintenance of the equipment as requested by the 1st and 2nd press operators.Performing remedial labor-intensive tasks outside the realm of said job description when it is deemed necessary by your acting supervisor or manager.Arriving at work on time consistently and staying for the duration of your shift.Must be able to stand on concrete for at least a period of twelve hours and walk up and down steps.
