The Digitisation Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the digitisation of native title records, principally paper records, from the FCA Court files. The position will be the contact person for the external digitisation provider and will be responsible for managing the contract with the provider. The position will suit someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as project management skills. The suitable candidate will be comfortable working independently and in a small team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Manage the digitisation of the FCA's native title records, including managing the contract with the Court's external digitisation provider, for permanent retention.Provide regular briefings and/or reports to the National Registrar – Native Title, including as to progress, identifying issues of concern and proposed solutions.Act as a point of contact and advice for the Court in regard to the maintenance and searchability of the Court's native title digital records.Assist the FCA manage and process access requests to digitised and other native title records.Contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of the FCA's native title digital, information and communications platforms.Other duties as required.Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in project management and contract management.Demonstrated experience in managing an enterprise information or records management system, including in relation to data and user security.Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including with people from diverse backgrounds.Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.High-level organisational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency with technology, including SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat.Eligibility Australian citizenship – the successful applicant must hold Australian citizenship.Security and character clearance – the successful applicant must satisfy a Police Records Check, and may also be required to complete security clearances during the course of their employment.Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.Interested candidates who have received a redundancy benefit from an APS agency are welcome to apply, but note that they cannot be engaged until their redundancy benefit period has expired.
