What does the job look like? We are looking for a Fatigue and Safety Risk Advisor to support and strengthen the Linfox Fatigue Management plan.
This is an initial 6-month fixed-term contract with a view for an additional 6-month extension.
Working closely with our operational leaders, this role is responsible for the management of our driver fatigue events and the development of campaigns and awareness strategies that help combat fatigue events and keep our drivers safe.
This role would suit an energetic and enthusiastic safety advisor who has experience in fatigue management and embedding a risk-based approach to keep people safe both physically and mentally.
Key Accountabilities: Partner with leaders and our operational personnel to develop protocols and manage driver fatigue events.
Develop campaign and training material to raise awareness about fatigue risk (including sleeping disorders).
Develop and pilot a program for offering free fatigue health checks to 'at risk' drivers.
Coach and mentor leaders through a combination of site visits, facilitated training and workshops.
Support fatigue projects through fatigue event reporting and leveraging the Driver Fatigue Impairment Field Study.
Measure and report on performance, trends and outcomes of fatigue management campaigns and awareness trainings.
Are you the one? You enjoy a hands-on role coaching, influencing, training and providing fatigue & safety management advice to workers and leaders to drive safety across our sites, coupled with your ability to work in an open, collaborative and inclusive manner will ensure success in this role.
You can demonstrate: Diploma or equivalent qualification in a Safety, Occupational Health, Risk or Fatigue Management related discipline Experience in the development of Fatigue Management strategies/programmes.
Experience in facilitating training and workshops with managers and operational personnel.
Ability to develop training and other support materials for internal stakeholders.
Ability to develop trusted relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
Working knowledge of work health and safety legislation.
Ability to develop and present results, plans and updates to leadership teams and internal stakeholders.
Commitment to personal development through formal education or other training programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
