About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Agricultural / Farm Mechanic to join our farms in Caboolture, North Queensland.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical duties related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of farm equipment and machinery.
This role reports directly to the General Manager of Farms Operations.
Key Responsibilities Inspecting and diagnosing issues with agricultural equipment and machineryRepairing and replacing defective parts in engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical componentsPerforming regular preventive maintenance on machinery, including oil changes, cleaning, and part replacementWorking with electronic diagnostic equipment and computer software to troubleshoot and fix issuesFabricating parts as needed using a variety of tools and machineryKeeping records of inspections, work performed, and parts usedAdhering to workplace safety standards at all timesMaintaining a clean and organized work areaCommunicating with equipment owners and operators about the status and cost of repairsContinually updating technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, etc.Minimum Qualifications Certificate III or Cert IV in Auto Mechanic / Mechanic or relevant qualificationProven work experience as an Agricultural Mechanic or related roleKnowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles and farm machineryAbility to handle various tools and heavy equipmentDemonstrated effective problem-solving skills / has a "can do attitude."Works well under pressure and can meet tight deadlines.Knowledge of and experience in the fresh produce industry.Team player / works well within a diverse team.Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methodsAbility to read and understand complex technical manualsManual stock handling capability when required.If you have what it takes to excel in this role, do not wait.
