These properties cultivate potatoes, carrots, onion, broccoli, andcauliflower under pivot-irrigation across a total area of 340ha. Furthermore, there is an additional 1000ha of land available for expansion, as part of our goal to continuously boost productivity.As Mixed Crop Farmer, you will be accountable for maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency by implementing and overseeing best practices across all areas, including irrigation management, spraying, harvesting, planting, and all other designatedresponsibilities.Job Tasks and responsibilities:• Assist Farm Manager & Agronomist with irrigation, soil monitoring and pest control• Ensure effective running of farming operations according to high horticulture standards• Operate a broad range of machinery and carry out minor maintenance• Ensure all special requirements are met during harvest• Coordinate & train staff and contractors• Complete QA requirements that meet audits' standardsAbout You• Enthusiastic and willing to learn, the successful applicant will ideally have comprehensive knowledge of horticultural practices, and be able to drive tractors, mix chemicals, and understand cultivation principals for vegetable crops.To be considered for the role, it's important you can address the following criteria:• Minimum 3 years' Horticulture experience• Freshcare knowledge• ChemCert accredited• First Aid Certificate• Valid driver's license (C class) – unrestricted manual license (essential)• Heavy vehicle – HR or MC license (desired)BenefitsOn offer for the successful candidate:• Competitive salary package• Housing allowance• Vehicle (available for personal use, within reason)• Professional development• Relocation assistance (if applicable)To be successful for this position, you must be able to prove your experience through an up-to-date resume and strong references.If you believe your skills and experience matches the above criteria and you can commit toongoing work, please apply by emailing your resume to: ****** : $75,000 per annumPosition: Full Time AM & S Ciavarella Management are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Mixed Crop Farmer to join their team in Stanbridge NSW 2705.Qualifications & Experience:- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role- Experience implementing or working within a business with WHS guidelines- Some experience with livestock and a good understanding or agronomic principles for pastures, dry land crops and irrigated crops and the link to livestock production- A current Chemcert Certificate or will be willing to attain one- Strong mechanical skills and ability to maintain and repair plant, equipment & machinery- Operating modern fleet of farming plant/equipment with GPS- Accurate recording and reporting of farming information & data- Knowledge and experience planning and preparing for planting and cultivationTasks & Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate the production of crops- Soil preparation- Cultivating crops and maintaining optimal growing conditions- Organize and conduct farming operations, including collecting, storing and grading the crops- Direct and oversee general faming activities including fertilizing, pest control and week control- Recoding farming activities, and plan crop preparation and production to meet yearly contract requirements and market demand- Train and supervise staff/contractors- Budgeting and ordering in conjunction with management- Knowledge and experience planning and preparing for planting and cultivation- Spraying / Planting & Spreading operationsSalary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experienceFulltime Position availableApplications open 11 April 2024 and close 11 May 2024.If you are interested in this role APPLY now.
