Embark on a Journey with Us over the ditch in South Australia! Conmurra Station is located in the heart of SA's Limestone Coast, only 40km from the beautiful coastal towns of Kingston SE and Robe. Spanning across approximately 10,000 acres, this family run operation comprises of a fine merino wool flock, cross-bred lambs and beef cattle. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with the owners, as you lead the execution of agreed production, sustainability and social goals. We're now on the lookout for an ambitious, dynamic and hands-on manager; someone who not only brings a wealth of proven experiences to the table but is also open to new ideas and technologies to optimise production outcomes. As the manager, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of the property's operational farming activities while aiming to achieve the overall business strategy. As such, the successful applicant is expected to offer these qualities:
Previous Experience: With a minimum of 5 years as a farm manager in high rainfall country, you'll bring a wealth of expertise to the role. Commitment to Safety: Your commitment to a culture prioritising worker health and safety is paramount. Strategic Planning: Your proven ability to plan, organise, and execute farming programs, including benchmarking performance, will set you apart. Pasture Management: A working understanding of feed budgeting and pasture management is essential, as is strong communication to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders. Leadership: Within a small team of 4, you will play a pivotal role in recruiting, selecting, inducting, training, and developing staff. Maintaining their performance with a high focus on animal husbandry will be your forte. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, coupled with a willingness to embrace technological advancements, will empower you to make informed decisions that drive efficiencies.
