The RoleThis is a unique opportunity for a farmhand to join a 6th-generation family-owned broadacre cereal and hay enterprise nestled in the heart of Central Victoria at Elmore between Bendigo and Echuca.
The business prides itself on providing a friendly and supportive working environment with good infrastructure and modern plant and equipment predominantly John Deere, and is committed to sustainable agricultural practices and community engagement.
The dryland operation spans several properties, totaling 2050 hectares and takes great pride in producing a diverse range of high-quality cereal crops, such as wheat, canola, barley, lentils, lupins, and beans, with a specific focus on oats grown for export hay production.
They use their own trucks to ensure timely delivery of export-quality oaten hay to a depot located 20km away.
Additionally, the majority of our premium grain is delivered to the local grain corporation, with the remainder stored on the property.
As part of the team, you will be required to participate in all aspects of the farm, including but not limited to tillage, sowing, spraying, harvesting, cartage, machinery maintenance, and general farm duties.
Proficiency in operating a variety of farm machinery such as loaders, trucks, and tractors would be beneficial, along with a positive attitude.

It is preferable for the candidate to live locally, as no accommodation is currently provided, but the owner is looking into accommodation options.
