Quality Assurance & Control (Science & Technology) Farm Foods is situated in the regional city of Geelong. We are a leading value-add manufacturer in the FMCG space working with the likes of Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, and independent retailers.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to support our team. Note: flexibility may be required to cover alternate shifts.
About the Role: Reporting to the Technical Manager, the purpose of the QA Officer is to ensure that operational activities are completed in compliance with internal and external procedures and policies that meet the requirements of HACCP, SQF Food Standard, Customer, Regulatory, and GMP requirements.
Due to the strong focus on Quality at Farm Foods, this role does not offer working from home arrangements. Successful candidates will be required to work 5 days in the workplace. Key Responsibilities: Conduct product assessments including sensory & micro testing. Organise sample collection for testing & retention samples requirement. Conduct all quality checks. Conduct internal audits as per internal audit schedule and as required. Support and influence the improvement of site Food Safety and Quality Culture by providing food safety and quality support and direction where needed. Other duties as required to fulfil the primary objective of promoting quality and food safety within Farm Foods. Quality Assurance officers work on the production floor as well as in the office, so the ability to work in a refrigerated environment is required for this position. Successful applicants will ideally have: Qualifications in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, or Chemistry. 1-2 years of manufacturing/quality experience. Understanding of HACCP principles. Experience with SQF (GSFI), WOW, COLES, CODEX, ORGANIC (NASSA). Strong attention to detail and process-driven. Good communication, time management skills, and a willingness to participate in a team environment. Good computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
