This privately owned agribusiness is pioneering agricultural projects across the Kimberley region.
With a focus on innovation and efficiency, this latest venture just 50km from Kununurra, aims to transform 6,000 ha to irrigated cotton over the next 3-5 years (500ha already developed), creating a benchmark in large-scale irrigation farming.
Blending tradition with cutting-edge techniques, they're not just pushing boundaries - they're reshaping Australia's agricultural landscape.
Here, you'll join a team that values grit, quality, and a bit of outback flair.
The RoleWorking closely with the Farm Manager, you will play a key role in this multi-year development project, overseeing everything from site set-out to daily operations.
You'll lead a team of 25-30 operators, ensuring clear communication, efficient task coordination, and minimal downtime.
Whether you're troubleshooting machinery, supporting construction, or helping to refine design plans, your hands-on approach will be crucial to achieving annual development milestones.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise staff across a 25km property, navigating the challenges of communication and coordination.Provide practical input on irrigation and land-levelling design - no need to be an expert, just someone with solid, real-world know-how.Roll up your sleeves when needed, keeping projects on track and minimising disruptions.Oversee the setup of machinery, pump stations, and field operations, ensuring seamless progress throughout the development. What You Bring:Our ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in farm development and bulk earthworks, with a solid grasp of agricultural or civil construction standards.
Familiarity with irrigation systems is a plus.
We're looking for someone who combines strong leadership skills with technical know-how, especially in GPS systems (like Trimble Field Level 2), and who's not afraid to get hands-on with machinery when the job demands it.
If you're driven, resilient, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be your next challenge.
In short, if you've got bulk earthworks experience within an agricultural setting, we want to hear from you.
You'll need to understand the 'why' behind each process, ensuring that every decision contributes to maximum yield and efficiency when crops are in the ground.
Whether your background is in Farm Management, Operations, or Project Management, or you're ready to step up and lead, we encourage you to apply.
The key is having exposure to bulk earthworks—think levelling and land preparation—preferably within a broadacre or irrigated cropping setting.
