Farm Attendant - Works Crew

Huon has a fantastic opportunity for a Farm Attendant to join our Works Crew team at Hideaway Bay. The perfect position for those looking for a challenge in aquaculture! ABOUT THE ROLE As part of the Works Crew, your primary purpose is to install and maintain all necessary fish pen related infrastructure. You will: Assist with net, pen and mooring set-up, maintenance, and equipment installation. Assist with fish transfers, feed trials, feeding fish and fish health checks. Monitor and report all predator activity. Located at our Hideaway Bay site, this is a full-time opportunity operating on a 7 on 7 off roster. ABOUT HIDEAWAY BAY Located in Dover, Hideaway Bay is tucked away on the banks of the Huon Estuary. With picturesque scenery you'd expect to see in a brochure, it is a great worksite with regular visits from seals, penguins, and the occasional whale. ABOUT YOU You have effective time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. You have experience working safely in a dynamic environment, identifying risks, and taking appropriate action. You are an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships within a team. You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive focus on continually looking to improve processes. QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES A current and valid driver's licence. A coxwains licence is desirable. A certificate III in Aquaculture is desirable.
