Farm Accountant

Rimanui Farms (Australia) Limited Partnership operates significant agricultural aggregations in northern NSW and northern Tasmania.  The role of Farm Accountant will be based at Vaucluse in the Midlands of Tasmania approximately 60km from Launceston.  The Farm Accountant is responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely monthly reports including balance sheet reconciliations in addition to ad hoc tasks. The role will have a focus on income & expenditure forecasting and monitoring, maintaining and further developing a robust internal control environment and ensuring the financial activities of the business are appropriately administered.  Working closely with the Aggregation Manager & the Financial Controller the Farm Accountant will prepare analysis to support farm decisions. This will include capital expenditure proposals.  The Farm Accountant will be supported by a Farm Administration Officer and will report to the Financial Controller with a dotted line to the Aggregation manager.  Skills/Qualifications At least 3 years experience in a similar role Membership of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand or CPA Australia Experience with Xero, preferred The successful candidate will be honest, hardworking and committed to doing a great job whilst working as part of a team.
