Melbourne Storm is an Australian professional rugby league club playing in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. We are the only NRL team based in Victoria and have experienced substantial growth and success in our short history. About the role We are looking for an energetic, collaborative and organised individual to join our Club in the newly created role of Fan Experience Coordinator. This is a 12-month parental leave contract position. To be successful you will need to bring a proactive, relationship-first approach and a proven ability to multitask, work with a number of stakeholders and deliver to agreed timelines. Reporting to the Head of Fan Experience and Events, the Fan Experience Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the Melbourne Storm Retail and Merchandise program as well as our Game Day and Events calendar. The role is key to assist the broader team and is pivotal to the successful execution of game day, events, and delivery of key retail operations program for Melbourne Storm. This unique role provides the successful candidate with a fantastic opportunity to build their career in the sporting industry and would suit someone with demonstrated experience and interest in event management, merchandise or retail programs or with a solid administration background. This role will be responsible for a number of key deliverables across retail, merchandise, game day and events, including, but not limited to: Supporting the Head of Fan Experience and Events by working closely with the Club's official apparel partner to ensure exceptional execution of the partnership and our brand. Supporting delivery of our annual apparel range for players and staff. Supporting the delivery of our retail program across E-commerce and Game Day in partnership with our external retail provider. Working closely with our external partner to coordinate the Club's online Auction and Memorabilia program. Supporting the Game Day & Events Manager to ensure high-quality events are executed efficiently, successfully and to standard. Coordinating a number of club events, including working with key suppliers and contractors. Overseeing the guest experience across invites, RSVPs, floor plans and other key touchpoints. Updating the Club events and activities calendar. Working with all business units and key stakeholders collaboratively, including presenting at key planning meetings. Supporting the execution of the Melbourne Storm Game Day events and activities and execution of game day operations. Supporting the Head of Fan Experience and Events and Game Day and Events Manager with a number of key duties across events, retail, merchandise, and other general administrative tasks. Due to the nature of our industry, this role will be required to work on game day and at nominated Club events, which will require some weekend and evening availability. The successful candidate will possess: Relevant tertiary qualification in Event Management or Administration is preferred. 1-3 years' proven experience working in merchandise/retail, event management, or administration. A desire to deliver on operational and administrative responsibilities. Strong knowledge of event management principles. Experience in the sporting or entertainment industry will be highly regarded.
