We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Family Worker to join us in providing supervised contact service that is impartial, trauma informed, and child centered.
The Role
Reporting to the Team Leader, your responsibilities include (but not be limited to):
Conduct supervised visits and changeovers. Transport children to and from visits, and this may include occasional interstate travel. Write up observational reports of visits according to program guidelines. Maintain confidentiality of all clients within the parameters of duty of care. Attend and contribute to team meetings and professional development. Ensure that administrative standards are maintained in accordance with the program and organisation's policies. About you
The ideal person we are looking for has:
Minimum Certificate III in Community Services, Early Childhood or equivalent. Demonstrated commitment to working within a person and child safety framework that is client centered and trauma informed. Excellent relationship building skills to maintain effective client relationships. Proven experience and ability to respond appropriately to critical incidents and to clients presenting with complex needs. Good verbal and written communication skills, and good time management skills. Computer literacy skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and simple databases. You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check and an international Police Check if you have lived overseas in the last 10 years.
To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:
A current full driver's licence and use of your own car (car registration and comprehensive insurance for business use); Hold a smart phone which can be used for work purposes, in line with MCCG's BYOD Policy.
