About Legal Aid QueenslandAre you an experienced social worker or psychologist? You will be part of a specialist domestic and family violence unit providing intensive, trauma informed, and culturally appropriate legal and non-legal assistance.This position is temporary until 15 January 2025 with the possibility of extension.What you will do Provide intervention to support legal services provided by the specialist domestic and family violence unitRepresent the specialist domestic and family violence unit in external forumsHelp provide information and training to LAQ staff and external community stakeholders to increase awareness and improve access to services About you: The successful candidate will have Experience providing crisis counselling, short term assistance and advocacy for clientsAbility to communicate effectively with clients with complex needsAbility to prepare written material such as reports, briefs, training and other educational materials What we can offer you 36.25 hrs per week (full time hours)12.75% employer super contributionsGenerous salary packaging availableStudy leave for approved work-related courses.
