The Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for Family Violence Worker - Adult Program FVCSS - North.

The team: Work as an effective member of a professional team in the provision of services to adults affected by family violence as part of the multidisciplinary Family Violence Service established through the Government's Safe at Home initiative. Provide specialist services to adults, children and young people affected by family violence in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. Provide programs that incorporate multi-level assessments and interventions and address the needs of adults, children and young people affected by family violence.
Details of Appointment: Fixed term, working 76 hours per fortnight/as and when required, commencing asap until 30 June 2025. Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $71,441 - $83,179 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement

Minimum Requirements: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable Criteria: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family violence and its impact on adults, children and young people.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with adults, children and young people with complex needs and apply appropriate models of intervention, including the developmental needs of children and young people.
Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative, work with general supervision and seek guidance as appropriate.
Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise and monitor a busy workload while providing a high standard of client care.
Ability to communicate verbally and in written form, and liaise effectively with clients, carers and other staff and stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and be adaptable and flexible in a complex environment.
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, research and ongoing professional development.
Understand the principles of primary health care and the needs and best interests of adults, children and young people affected by family violence.
Under particular circumstances, employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
