The team:

Work as an effective member of a professional team in the provision of services to adults affected by family violence as part of the multidisciplinary Family Violence Service established through the Government's Safe at Home initiative.
Provide specialist services to adults, children, and young people affected by family violence in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, working 76 hours per fortnight/as and when required, commencing asap until 30 June 2025.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$71,441 - $83,179 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging.

Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement.

*Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies.

Essential Criteria:

Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.

Current Working with Children Registration.

Desirable Criteria:

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family violence and its impact on adults, children, and young people.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with adults, children, and young people with complex needs and apply appropriate models of intervention.

Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative.

Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritise a busy workload while providing a high standard of client care.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients, carers, and other staff and stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, research, and ongoing professional development.

Understand the principles of primary health care and the needs of those affected by family violence.

Under particular circumstances, employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
