We offer refuge, children's and parenting services, counselling, support, men's programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven and proactive Family Violence Team Leader, at our Palmerston location.
Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position.
This role requires the ability and willingness to be on call and work outside normal business hours, as required.Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 7.You will successfullyProvide Family Violence service management including oversight over a range of internal practices, policies and guidelines, including case management.Provide high level professional leadership to the workforce and observe best practice management standards as required of The Salvation Army at all levels in service provision.Ensure programmatic management including oversight of quality and compliance to ensure accreditation standards are met.Deliver an effective high-quality family violence service with ability to demonstrate that interventions make a difference to the lives of women and children post family violence.Provide advocacy to support the needs of people seeking services from The Salvation Army and best practice service delivery; including sourcing and attracting grants and tenders to enhance service provision.You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)Degree qualification in Social Work or similar qualifications is essential and demonstrated relevant work experience.Experience in the family violence sector and managing or coordinating residential care settings.Experience in managing and overseeing case management and outreach support services.Experience working with financial operating budgets and managing staff.Well-developed liaison and communication skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate with relevant agencies in the service sector and the public.Demonstrated experience in effectively dealing with the impact of trauma.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suite, and utilising Outlook, Excel, Word, and specialised client management record systems.Experience in identifying, developing, and working in partnership with others.A Working with Children (Ochre Card) Vulnerable people check is required.A National police record Check.Ability and willingness to be on call and work outside normal business hours, as required.A NT Drivers Licence.What we offerAs a registered NFP we offer our eligible employees real and meaningful benefits such as:NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit ($2,650)Flexible working conditionsHealth, fitness and financial discounts / benefitsPaid parental leave - 12 weeksUp to 8 weeks leave per year through our purchase leave schemeUp to 5 days paid leave per year to 'volunteer' in a TSA program or activityPurpose driven career which has positive social and sustainable outcomesEmployee Assistance Program - Independent confidential counselling service;Opportunity for career development;An inclusive culture of dedicated, passionate and professional team membersPositively supporting and impacting the lives of others through your career contributionThe Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer who provides an inclusive work environment and embraces the diverse talent of its people.
