Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies and support services to ensure effective referrals for family violence applicants.Work in a court setting with family violence practitioners, court registrars, police prosecutors, lawyers, and court support services.Conduct Court-ordered assessments and refer Respondents to ongoing support, case management services, and programs addressing accountability and behavior change.Provide information to Magistrates regarding Respondents and the availability of appropriate services and programs.Convey specialist family violence concepts and court procedures to Respondents, staff, and stakeholders.Maintain accurate, confidential Respondents records, managing information sharing, privacy, confidentiality, and consent.Represent MCV at regular meetings and committees with internal and external stakeholders.Update internal case management and recording systems and prepare reports for management regarding services provided.Minimum Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, social sciences, criminal justice, or a related field.Demonstrated experience working with individuals who have perpetrated family violence.Graduate Certificate in Social Science: Male Family Violence is highly regarded.Experience in support provision, crisis containment, risk assessment, and case coordination.Understanding of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, risk assessment, and management framework.Awareness of homelessness, housing, legal, financial, AOD service, mental health, and other issues exacerbating family violence risk.Awareness of intersectionality when providing services to minority groups.About Us: The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is part of the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, providing justice across metropolitan and regional courts.
