Utilise your administration and decision making expertise to provide support and advice to the Courts Civil and Criminal Law branchOngoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceAbout Us: Civil and Enforcement Services (CES) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's Courts, Civil and Criminal Law group. CES is responsible for managing the end-to-end infringement system in Victoria.

About the Role: The Family Violence Officer, Family Violence Scheme role, is located within Enforcement & Support Services, which is a branch of CES. Family Violence Officers in the Family Violence Scheme primarily deal with applications submitted by members of the public, who have experienced family violence and seeking review of their infringement fines on the basis that the family violence substantially contributed to them incurring the fines.
The role of a Family Violence Officer involves:
Exercising professional judgement and decision making when determining applications from the publicProviding information and procedural guidance to a range of internal & external partners and stakeholdersDelivering a high standard of service where there are sensitive and complex client needs.About You: As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
An understanding of the infringement lifecycle, the Infringements Act 2006 and the Fines Reform Act 2014, or experience in the practical application of other legislation or policies is highly desirableExperience in direct human service delivery where there are sensitive and complex client needs.Competent use of Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems and applications.Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or relevant experience is desirable.
