A place to make a difference: In this full-time, maximum term role (through to end of June 2025, with potential for extension), you'll support the families of high-risk young people on bail through intensive case work, follow-up and referrals to other specialist services. Based in Mount Isa, you'll be part of our Intensive Bail Initiative team and report to the Team Leader.
You will make a difference by:
Providing holistic, trauma-informed case management and delivering wrap-around support to the families of adolescents who are on bail Identifying strengths and establishing goals for the young people and their families, and reviewing progress towards these goals Identifying where additional assistance and external services are required, and providing appropriate information, support and referrals Promoting skills which increase health, safety and development A place to feel valued: Your deep expertise in working alongside families to achieve agreed outcomes, and your highly developed cultural awareness and sensitivity, will enable you to build community networks and lasting relationships. Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation Demonstrated experience in working with the families of young people who have been in contact with the justice system Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families Strong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar service A place to belong: 54 reasons is proudly part of Save the Children Australia.
