The Opportunity
The AHP2 Family Social Worker will provide social support services to work with victims and alleged perpetrators of family violence involved in family law matters and assist them to safely navigate the family law court processes. This role will undertake case work of a complex nature, in the capacity of an in-house family social science practitioner in the Family Law Division of the Legal Services Commission.
Total Indicative Remuneration Package
$99,493 - 115,087 per annum pro rata including salary, superannuation and leave loading.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the Legal Services Commission offers attractive salary sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre-tax Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year for general living expenses.
Term of Employment
Temporary contract at the AHP2 classification level up until 26 June 2026.
What You Need for Success
The ideal candidate will have:
An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.Experience in the provision of social work services to children and families.Demonstrated experience working with clients who are at high risk of exposure to abuse including from family and domestic violence, neglect, sexual abuse and physical harm.Experience in early assessment for clients.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.Workplace Benefits
