The firm is headed up by Principal Director, Allison Rowe, who has over 25 years of experience exclusively in the family law arena. Allison works within the framework of genuine collaboration with opposing counsel so that matters may resolve cost effectively, without the need for protracted legal proceedings in the courts. The opportunity We are looking for a full-time Family Lawyer at intermediate/senior level to provide exceptional delivery of family law legal services to our clients. The role will entail working autonomously but also with our team on a work-from-home basis. You will be administratively self-sufficient, though well supported with all modern computer hardware and software required and some online support and software training provided (Smokeball). You will be autonomous in the running of client matters from start to finish, with regular team meetings and de-briefing opportunities. You will have a mature nature and be an effective communicator with clients, Allison, other staff members (working virtually), and all parties alike – always extolling the firm's values of authenticity and kind regard. You will have a passion for family law and for helping clients through difficult times. You will have the ability to quickly and easily establish rapport with new clients. You will have exceptional organisational skills, computer software experience, and be comfortable with a paper free office as the firm is strictly online files only. You will be experienced with start to finish running of files, including client meetings, letters, negotiations, preparing for and appearing at mediations and Court, briefing Counsel, running Interim and Final Hearings, and drafting documents including letters of advice, Court documents, Financial Agreements, Child Support Agreements, and proposed Orders.Attention to detail in all aspects of file and client management is a must, as is the ability to thrive is a fast-paced, fully virtual, vibrant and super hard-working team environment. The firm is well supported by our Practice Manager and paralegal staff. We are expanding and will be in constant growth mode over the coming months and years, and we are looking for a candidate that will grow with us and be a genuine, enthusiastic part of our team. Salary is generous and negotiable for the right candidate.Experience in Smokeball would be an advantage but not necessary for the right candidate.
