Family Lawyer

Calverley Johnston Family Lawyers is a boutique firm devoted exclusively to the practice of Family Law. Our main office is located in the Perth CBD and we also have a satellite office in the regional City of Geraldton. 
We are looking to expand our team with another solicitor, preferably holding a minimum of 1 year PAE in Family Law. All solicitors, whether junior or senior, seeking either full-time or part-time employment will be considered. 
We pride ourselves on providing a flexible work environment to ensure that our solicitors maintain an appropriate work life balance. If you are motivated in other ways, solicitors who exceed their billing budget, will attract a bonus. 
The successful applicant will manage their own file load, in accordance with their skill level. Supervision will be provided if required.
Depending on the applicant's experience level and supervision requirements, the role includes:
Advising clients in relation to all aspects of Family Law;Managing client files;Drafting correspondence and Court documents;Appearing in the Family Court of Western Australia;Representing clients in mediations and other forms of ADR; andRepresenting the Firm at networking events, etc. Essential personal attributes and skills include:
Exceptional attention to detail;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Well-developed interpersonal skills;The ability to meet deadlines consistently; The ability to prioritise workload and tasks effectively;The ability to work as part of a team;Strong advocacy and negotiation skills; andKnowledge of Filepro (desirable). Remuneration is negotiable, commensurate with experience and the capabilities of the successful applicant.
