About this role 2 x full time ongoing positions (part-time considered) Salary range: $87,799 - $98,901 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model About the role
Sitting within the Family, Youth and Children's Law (FYCL) program, you will provide high quality legal services, including duty lawyer support, casework, and advice, while advocating for clients across various courts and tribunals.
You'll also have the chance to engage with the community, contribute to legal education, and take part in important law reform projects.
You will join a motivated and supportive team committed to your professional growth.
You will also have a say in process improvements and strategies to improve our client service.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Demonstrated ability to act as an advocate, deliver legal advice and casework and undertake negotiation and dispute resolution on behalf of clients in family law, family violence and other related areas of law. Knowledge or practical experience in relevant law and procedure with a focus on one or more of family law, family violence and/or child protection. High level of interpersonal and communication skills and the demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively with clients, staff and external stakeholders and organisations. Proven ability to work collaboratively with others and foster a cooperative and supportive team environment. A current Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory). Don't meet every requirement?
