The company is now experiencing a period of growth and as such an opportunity for an experienced Family Lawyer to join our team presents.
About the role
The candidate will ideally be well-versed in conducting litigation in the Federal Circuit and Family Court, who can competently run your client's mentions, interim hearings and mediations. If you have Estate law experience, or a desire to grow in these areas, that could be pursued.
With plenty of client contact, producing documents, running cases and attending court, you will have full carriage of your own matters including responsibility for efficient time recording of billable hours in our easy-to-use Leap software management system. There is also the value of time with the Principal to discuss ongoing matters for strategic oversight and guidance, brainstorming and practical how to advice.
What you will bring:
2+ years' experience in Family Law desirable.
Estate Law experience desirable, but not necessary.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to break down concepts into simple easily understood language essential.
Ability to convert an enquirer into a client.
Hold the right to practice in Queensland essential.
Competent time management and time recording skills.
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Ability to work to and achieve monthly performance targets.
Able to type and produce own documents from precedents.
Desire to progress clients matters in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Personal integrity and strength.
Familiarity with LEAP software or similar.
