Position vacant for Family Law Solicitor Cherry Family Lawyers has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Family Law Solicitor to join our busy firm located in Cleveland. In this role, you will work closely with our Director Kate Cherry (Accredited Specialist in Family Law) who will be invested in your success.
We are a close-knit team who support one another in a complex area of law to ensure our client's interests are prioritised, whilst also looking after ourselves and striking the right balance between work and personal life.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients in Family Law matters, including property settlements, divorce, child custody, domestic violence and other general legal matters. Maintain accurate and detailed records and file notes, manage deadlines and comply with all legal procedures and Rules of Court. Negotiate with solicitors and self-represented parties in order to settle matters in the client's best interests. Draft legal documentation, correspondence and other legal/Court documents. Appear in Court as required to advocate for clients. WE ARE LOOKING FOR: A passionate graduate and/or an experienced practitioner with an interest in Family Law (interest in Criminal Law is a bonus but not required), including becoming accredited as an Independent Children's Lawyer.
