Our team is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care.The RoleWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Family Law Solicitor to join our dynamic team.
The role involves managing a varied case load of family law matters including child arrangements, financial settlements, divorce applications and intervention Order applications.
While the firm undertakes a significant amount of litigation, the role on offer can be structured to include as much or as little Court appearance work as the applicant desires.
You will be an integral part of our firm, contributing to our reputation for excellence in client care and legal expertise.Qualifications & experienceYou would hold an active practicing certificate and be admitted to practice in both the Victorian State Courts and the High Court of AustraliaKey responsibilitiesManaging a diverse caseload of family law matters from their commencement to their resolution.Providing clear, empathetic, and tailored legal advice to clients.Drafting legal documents, including Court Applications, Affidavits, Binding Financial Agreements and Consent OrdersRepresenting clients in Mediations and Court proceedings.Working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting the development of the family law team.Maintaining up to date knowledge of family law and associated legislation.All aspects of family law including divorce and separation matters, parenting disputes and children's matters, financial agreements, mediation and property settlements.About youThe ideal candidate will have:A minimum of two years post admission experience (PAE) in Family Law.A strong understanding of family law, including both parenting and property mattersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionallyStrong drafting and advocacy skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA commitment to delivering outstanding serviceWhat we offerA supportive and inclusive work environmentOpportunities for professional development and career progressionA competitive salary and benefits packageFlexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.No billable hours requirements.How to ApplyTo apply, please send your CV and a covering letter detailing your suitability for the role ****** an informal discussion about the role, please contact Ruby Oldham on03 5611 3933.Join us at Oldham Family Law and make a difference in the lives of our clients.
